Chattooga Belle Farm, SC

The Chattooga Belle Farm was our first trip, and it was a great experience! And you can bring your dogs along as well! The farm has an amazing mature apple orchard. At the time of our stay in September, visitors were able to pick their own apples as well as other fruits. Walking through the orchard you will discover other fruits such as peaches, figs, grapes, and more!

In addition to the orchard, the farm has a beautiful restaurant that overlooks the hillside of apple trees and grapevines. There is also plenty of seating on the outdoor terrace as well as numerous Adirondack chairs in the field directly below the terrace. Adjacent to the restaurant is a farm store that offers items produced on the farm. Here you can find grass-fed beef as well as fresh fruits and vegetables.

After a stroll down the hillside through the orchard and to the left, you will reach the farm distillery. Here you can enjoy a tasting of the different spirits produced on the farm using their own fruits. There is a nice outdoor patio here as well, so social distancing isn’t an issue!

For those of you who are up for a walk, follow the road behind the distillery. You will find several campsites, some of which offer full hook-up services. There are also sites for pitching a tent as well. When you follow this road, be sure to watch out to the left – you might just see a couple of llamas that live on the farm. They are very curious about dogs but watch out for that electric fence!

Continue down this road to find a picturesque lake which will lead to a hiking trail through the forest. Be sure to wear good shoes! There are also some hidden campsites for tents in the forest, many of which are directly next to a stream.

The farm is available for weddings and other events as well. Check out their website http://www.chattoogabellefarm.com/farm/. Everyone here is very kind and friendly!
